PostSubject: A copy of the Alexandrian Empire Rules   Wed Jan 10, 2007 5:35 pm

The following is a copy of the Rules that agreed to follow during registration to the Alexandrian Empire.

1. Character Information Sheet (CIS) - You must have an approved CIS with the Crystal Alliance before joining the Empire. If you do not, please visit http://thecrystalalliance.forums1.net/OOC-c3/Sample-CIS-f14.htm for examples and submit a CIS to Devos Kadar at devos_kadar_koa@yahoo.com before continuing with registration. You must be as descriptive as you possibly can. Remember, if you don't list it, you don't have it. If you already have a CIS on file with the Crystal Alliance, then feel free to continue your registration right away. Remember, no one except Emperor Devos Kadar and the Crystal Alliance Parliament will see your CIS; meaning only they will know your detailed information for administration purposes only and will never share it with other players.

Rule 1.2 Characters - You can create a character from any game, movie, TV Show, comic, ect. We also accept Dungeons and Dragons characters or World of Darkness characters. Additionally, you can get creative with your character as well as its weapons, armor, and accessories. If you take a weapon, item, armor, ect. from a game or movie or comic, please state from where it came in your CIS under Additional Information. Remember, we cannot promise that your character will be accepted. All characters must be reviewed for approval and approved before being allowed to become active.

2. God Moding - Well, if you don't know what god moding means, then we have problems already. To put it simply, god moding is playing an invincible character. After all, even the gods have some sort of weakness. You may play a god character who can do anything and everything imaginable....BUT you MUST have a weakness like vulnerable to light and/or light magic or allergic to carrots that the very smell makes you sooo sick you could die. Whatever the weakness, you MUST have at least one. You do not need to tell anyone, but please play fair. Also, you cannot avoid or dodge every attack. You must get hit once in a while. It’s only fair.

3. Player vs. Player (PvP) - PvP IS allowed in the Empire. This means you can challenge anyone at anytime to a fight. The challenge and the rules must be clearly stated and accepted by the defender, and the defender chooses what fighting style to use (i.e. T1 PC). Also state if it is a death match or just a spar. Now, some NPC's from time to time may randomly attack people. No declaration of challenge is required and all NPC battles are death matches. You, the defender, may choose what style of fighting to use via an OOC comment along with your IC post. However, in any battle, you CAN run away. It is perfectly legal and keeps you alive to fight again another day. Though even if you run away, your opponent has the option to pursue. If they do not, battle is over with the opponent winning, but you will still be alive even if it is a death match.

4. Deaths in the Empire - Whilst inside the Empire, anyone can be killed so long as it is a legit battle. Devos and members of Parliament will monitor the battle as much as they can to ensure no one is cheating and using abilities, armor, weapons, etc...that they do not have. So long as Devos or Parliament does not make a post on the topic that the battle occurs that cheating has occurred, the death will be legal and posted in the graveyard until a revival is posted. If by no longer than 3 days after the battle has ended a post stating someone has cheated occurs, then the battle will not be legal, nor will the death.

5. Deaths outside the Empire - Should you kill someone outside of the Empire (i.e. chat rooms or another forum not allied with the Alliance), please post the ENTIRE battle in the Graveyard along with the victim’s e-mail and, if possible, the e-mail of a witness. The death will be confirmed by Devos or a member of Parliament as well as check to see if a revival has been performed. Once confirmed, a post will be made under the battle post.

6. Revival - If you die in the Empire forums, you are required to make at least a 1500 word revival post approved by Devos or any member of Parliament. If it is not, the post is not legal. The only exception to this is if your character dies outside of the Empire (i.e. in chat rooms), the Empire will not recognize your revival unless it is a legit T1 revival post; meaning 4 paragraphs of 4 sentences long each preferably. And it must be done by another player, not you. Please post the revival along with the e-mail of the person who revived you so they can be contacted to confirm revival.

7. Sexual Content - In order to make this as realistic as possible, some sexual content may occur in the Empire. Devos and Parliament will do their best to censor what they feel to be too explicit. However, this is your warning that you may find some un-censored. So please ask parents permission before joining the Empire if you are underage irl. However, any sexual content that does occur in the Empire must be kept to a minimum. No prostitution please. If a person is constantly posting sexual content, they will get only one warning before Devos considers temporary banishment.

8. Out Of Character Issues & In Character Issues (OOC vs. IC) - If you have a problem with someone OOC, please DO NOT bring that problem IC. The same goes with IC problems. DO NOT bring those OOC. It is childish and grounds for banishment if you put those problems anywhere on any board. The only exception to this rule is if you BOTH agree to settle an argument via a death match. Otherwise, keep it to yourself or at the very least, off the boards.

9. OOC Chat - There is to be NO OOC chatting in the Role play boards unless it is absolutely necessary (i.e. to provide an OOC reference to better explain a move or ability.) Please keep OOC Chat either in the OOC Chat Board, private messages, e-mail, or instant messages on Yahoo or MSN.

10. Future/Fantasy Clause - This is not so much a rule, as a statement about the Alexandrian Empire. While for the most part, Alexandria is a fantasy, medieval forum, we do have some fantasy/futuristic elements. For example, we use airships based upon the Final Fantasy Series. No one may own an airship though. They are strictly for transportational purposes in your characters posts. Such places as the Mysts of Life require the use of an airship to get there for it is a series of floating islands. So NO ONE owns an airship; other than the Empire. But you get the point.

11. Final Rule You Must Obey..... - ......................HAVE FUN!!!!!! I cannot stress that enough. Role-play is all about escaping the world of the real & entering a fantasy world where possibilities are endless. As Emperor, I will do all I can to help ensure that happens for each and every one of you that join the Empire and the Crystal Alliance. So will the other members of the Empire, Crystal Alliance, and even Parliament. Please seek out myself, Emperor Devos Kadar, or a member of Parliament if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you and again......HAVE FUN ROLEPLAYING!!!!!

Sincerely,

Emperor Devos Kadar
